プログラム: ARTE Lounge - Vadim Repin (60 min)

"Simply the best, the most perfect violonist I have ever heard!" This is what Yehudi Menuhin exclaimed as discovering Vadim Repin. At the tender age of 17, this young wonder, born in Novosibirsk in 1971, in the ex-USSR, was the youngest prize winner of the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels. Since then, he works with famous conductors such as Yehudi Menuhin, Pierre Boulez and Simon Rattle. His favorite repertory includes Russian and French violin concertos. In the field of the chamber music, his partner are Martha Argerich and Mischa Maisky. Vadim Repin is a calm and discrete artist, who avoids any media beating. For him, the music is a permanent challenge. "As a warming up, I devote half an hour each day to play scales, in all possible variations".
